In earlier times the oldtown
has been surrounded by big towers and a mighty wall. Parts of them are still to be seen and to be visited. Very famous however is the town because of its BMW-automobile factory. It is the biggest BMW-factory of the world. More than 18.000 people work here and produce every day more than 1.500 automobiles.
In the museum of Dingolfing visitors are able to see many types of old BMW- and Glas-automoblies.
